What is a turning?
Turning is the process of chipping, shaping and grooving the internal and external surfaces of metallic and non-metallic objects using special tools, and to someone who performs the turning process using special machines and tools. It is called a turner. Lathe operation is done by lathe tool. The lathe tool is applied on the desired part to remove its excess material and apply the desired shape and dimensions on the part. This method is done by using a lathe, which will put the lathe tool in contact with the piece by moving two axes (rotary and linear).

Types of turning
Manual turning
Lathe operation can be done manually or automatically. The traditional mode of manual turning is done with a conventional lathe that often requires constant operator supervision.
Milling turning
The milling process is used to remove chips and polish different surfaces. For this purpose, a device called a milling machine is used. Milling machines are classified into two categories, horizontal milling machines and vertical milling machines, according to the type of placement of the milling blade, which is horizontal or vertical.
CNC turning
The CNC lathe is one of the most widely used machines in various sectors of the industry, which exhibits different features and capabilities.
CNC turning is a manufacturing process in which bars of material are held in a cavity and a moving axis is continuously rotated while a tool is fed into the part to remove the material to create the desired shape. A turret-like structure with attached tools is programmed to move with the raw material belt and remove material.

Drawing applications
Turning is one of the most common and important jobs in today's industries, which is used a lot. Among the applications of turning, we can mention the production of industrial parts, the preparation and manufacture of tools, as well as the production of all kinds of metal sculptures.
